Gloucestershire Total Communication has adopted a unique approach to expand the awareness of signing. A series of short movie files have been recorded which demonstrate the signing of key words and the use of those words in a short sentence. The Basic Vocabulary is demonstrated on this website. We hope that this will help establish a uniform way of signing to avoid confusion to those people who rely on signing to communicate. The Basic, Intermediate and the new list are available to purchase on CD - details are available on the CD page. We believe this will be an ideal way to show the correct use of signing to those new to the system and a good refresher for those who might be a little rusty. The demonstration files that have been created to show signing in action are large. For that reason they have been optimised for viewing on the internet by restricting the quality. Mouse click on a word and the video will automatically play in a pop up. When you have watched the video click the 'X' to close the pop up.You can replay the video by using the control panel at the botom of the pop up window - click the arrow on the leftt hand side. To hear the audio make sure you have your speakers turned on or your headphones plugged in. The files have been converted for viewing over the Internet using Adobe Flash.
